Summer Reading Program
June 5th - August 8th
Birth - Grade 8

All roads lead to Plum Library for fun and prizes this summer! Track your reading progress in your trip tracker and earn reading rewards en route! If you meet your goal and want to keep reading for credit, we’ll give you a bonus tracker, too! Reading Rewards can be redeemed Monday, June 14 - Sunday, August 8. Prize drawing winners will be announced the week of August 9.

Block Party on June 5th

Come out on June 5th to help Youth Services get our Reading Road Trip rolling! The block party will run from 10 AM - 2 PM. We've got lots of fun planned, and you can sign up for the summer reading program at the party!

Weber Grill will provide hot dogs at noon (as long as supplies last). There will also be moon jumps, airbrush tattoo artists, and sidewalk chalk art on the Plaza. Expect appearances from Scoopie of Culver's, and Sonic the Hedgehog from GameWorks! See page 8 of our June/July Plum Jam for more details.

In case of inclement weather, some activities will happen as scheduled inside.

Registration begins Monday, May 4

Calling all babies, toddlers, and preschoolers! Read on the Wild Side begins this summer, and little ones can get a head start on their 2009 reading adventure! We encourage parents to share early literacy activities with small children, so even if they aren’t reading on their own yet, they can participate in the summer reading program at Plum Library. When you register in Youth Services, we will give you a reading sheet to track activities and earn rewards. Birth - Preschool
