Children's favorite characters

Last week during Children's Book Week, May 12-18, we asked children to vote for their favorite book characters while they were in the library. Some of our candidates were Harry Potter, Arthur, Dora, Judy Moody, Jack & Annie (from the Magic Tree House) and many others! We also allowed a write-in campaign, which added Max & Mo, Horace Splattly, and characters from Erin Hunter's Warrior series to the election ticket.

It turns out our young patrons' favorite book character is Harry Potter! Calvin & Hobbes tied for second with Arthur, everyone's favorite aardvark!
